The withdrawable units, in all sizes, are equipped with mechanical interlocks to protect against operational errors and ensure safe handling. A clear, consistent indicator is provided for all positions of the withdrawable units.
The withdrawable unit can be moved to the "connected" position while the door/cover is closed, without collapsing the ingress protection rating.
Each functional unit is internally segregated.
The enclosure provides a standard ingress protection level of IP31, which can be optionally increased to IP54 for greater protection.
The internal separation complies with the IPXXB standard, ensuring protection against finger contact, even for disconnected units. The units remain protected even when removed.
For all outgoing circuits, the drawer locking mechanism prevents both access and removal when the main circuit breaker is in the "OFF-ON" position.
Motor protection switches and circuit breakers can only be replaced when the withdrawable unit is completely removed.
When the withdrawable unit is removed, contact shutters provide insulation for the distribution busbar.
With the appropriate safety precautions in place, it is safe to work on the output cables even when the busbar is live.
Operational Safety
The vertical distribution busbars are surrounded by double-layer insulation.
Withdrawable unit compartments can be replaced without interrupting operation.
Cable connection to withdrawable units can be done under live conditions.
Optionally, additional insulation of the main busbar conductors can be carried out with thermoplastic material.
The sliding contact structure, which provides separation between the distribution busbar and the withdrawable unit, prevents contact wear or
welding of the contacts to the busbars and ensures the continuity of proper contact even under short circuit conditions.
Ease of Maintenance
By having the double-finger contact design, there is no need for maintenance on the distribution busbar.
Replacement of the double-finger contact holders is a fast and simple process when necessary.
